3. (i) The non-striker as he was out of his ground at the
moment his wicket was broken
and prior to him and his partner having crossed.
(ii) (a) 5 runs
(b) Runs to the striker
(c) Signals 'boundary 4' and raises hand displaying
fingers/thumb to show 5 runs
(d) Since this is the 1st ball of a new over, it
will be the 'non-striker when last ball
of the previous over was bowled.

4. (a) On completion of the run, the umpire shall call and
signal 'Dead ball' and return
batsmen to original ends - No run is scored
(b) If runs scored are result of an overthrow by
member of the fielding side
(2 marks)
5. (a) Umpire calls and signals 'No Ball'. Also issues
first warning to the bowler and
informs his Captain, the batsmen and umpire
colleague.
(b) As above, except in that umpire warns bowler of
'second and final' warning.
(c) Umpire calls and signals 'Dead ball' and
instructs the Captain to immediately
replace the bowler, who shall not be
permitted to bowl again in that innings.
The incident shall be reported as soon as
possible to the club executive and
the body responsible for the competition.

6. As to whether or not the collision was result of a
deliberate act by the fielder,
(in this case, the bowler) to obstruct the batsman
or was it an accidental occurrence.
(a) Accidental - batsman is OUT!
(b) Deliberate - batsman is NOT OUT!

Neither batsman shall be dismissed

7. If (a) the ball is a fairly delivered ball and not
a 'no ball' and
(b) first point of impact is that with the
striker's pad and
(c) contact between the ball and pad is 'in line'
between wicket and wicket and
(d) but for the interception, the ball would have
hit the wicket,
the batsman shall be given out LBW.
Had, instead of (c) above, the point of contact was
outside the line of the off stump and
the striker had made no genuine attempt to play the ball
with the bat and (a), (b)
and (d) still applied, the batsman shall also be given
out, LBW.

(a) The
bowler had thrown and not bowled the delivery or
some part of the wicket-
keeper's person or equipment was in front of
the wicket between the time of the
bowler starting his run up or delivery action and the ball being played
by the striker
or passing the wicket or more that 2 fielders were
positioned behind the 'popping'
crease' on the leg side at the time of delivery.
(b) 3 signals - 'No ball' followed by that of
'bye' (to show that ball has not hit the bat)
followed by 'boundary 4' signal

Inform the fielding Captain that the bowler cannot bowl for a further 7
minutes as he was off
the field for 23 minutes and only 16 minutes had passed since his
return.

11. The umpires shall confer and
providing the conditions are not considered to be 'unsuitable or
dangerous', they shall permit the game to re-start.

12.
As sightscreen is in process of being adjusted,
the bowler is not wasting time and
therefore, the
umpire shall take no immediate action.
